It is in fact the end of the day on my due date and instead of giving birth or holding my new baby I am sorting papers to shred and putting old screwdrivers in piles with paint brushes to eventually store in our office closet. I'm sitting here at my desk and the little guy/girl is thumping the inside of my belly as happy as a clam.

Dr. Laird said we will induce on Thursday of next week...yes, that is 6 more days.

We did find a pediatrician, finally. Usually I try to do all my research upfront on this stuff so all I have to do is go in but with the pediatrician it was really hard because I would ask around and get great recomendations and then call or go in and be sorely disappointed. So, it was very nice to finally have all the pieces fit together and meet someone who, himself, did not give me the creeps and whose office did not feel like a hospital waiting room. There were actually little pictuers from patients posted on big bulletin boards and highlights magazines just like my pediatricians office when I was a kid...it was nice.

And now I will go back to sorting random crap in our office. On a side note, I found like 5 packages of 39 cent stamps...yay for inflation, stamps are now 42 cents. Anyone know if you can buy 3 cent stamps or do I have to suffer through all the 1 cent ones whenever I want to mail anything. Which, btw, I do like 3 times a year so I figure these stamps will last me another 10 years. By that time I'll just be able to double the 39 cent stamps on one envelope.

Cara! I am so sorry! She (that's right, I said "she") will be here really soon!!! It must be hard and I can't tell you I understand. I was so pissed off when my Gwendolyn didn't come a week EARLY. She did come 6 days early...and I can't imagine what kind of person I would have become if she hadn't! But, she'll be here soon!!! It's going to be great!

And, yes, I believe that you CAN buy 5 cent stamps. It's so funny to hear you talk about the stamps. I was determined to use each and every old stamp I had. It's really funny; I buy 4dollar coffees at starbucks, but am anal about using all my 2 cent stamps.
