Clair

We had a little girl. Her name is Clair Erynne Williams and she weighed 6.13lbs and was 19 inches long. She was born at 9:56pm. I'll have pictures soon to post. I think she is beautiful, though obviously I'm a little biased. I am in a double room so ricky had to go sleep in the waiting room and I am, after having dozed on and off for an hour and a half, pretty much wide awake. They said they will bring her back to me around 2:30. She is getting her bath and being cleaned up.

bumped back

Our time got bumped back at the hospital so now I have to all at 8 to find out when I go in. The plus side to this that I have read my bible, everyone's new blog entries, called my mom, packed some more stuff...and it's only 7:19. Better than any morning I've had in 9 months!

Interestingly, I have two bags, two pillows, a blanket, and a little radio to bring to the hospistal. I think that might be more than we brought on our one week trip to Ireland...

blogging from my iPhone

I just discovered that I can blog from my iPhone. How cool is technology? Ricky and I decided to skip church today and spend our time trying to get the last of our boxes unpacked in an effort to get the house ready to go. Maybe the baby will come today...

It is in fact the end of the day on my due date and instead of giving birth or holding my new baby I am sorting papers to shred and putting old screwdrivers in piles with paint brushes to eventually store in our office closet. I'm sitting here at my desk and the little guy/girl is thumping the inside of my belly as happy as a clam.

Dr. Laird said we will induce on Thursday of next week...yes, that is 6 more days.

We did find a pediatrician, finally. Usually I try to do all my research upfront on this stuff so all I have to do is go in but with the pediatrician it was really hard because I would ask around and get great recomendations and then call or go in and be sorely disappointed. So, it was very nice to finally have all the pieces fit together and meet someone who, himself, did not give me the creeps and whose office did not feel like a hospital waiting room. There were actually little pictuers from patients posted on big bulletin boards and highlights magazines just like my pediatricians office when I was a kid...it was nice.

And now I will go back to sorting random crap in our office. On a side note, I found like 5 packages of 39 cent stamps...yay for inflation, stamps are now 42 cents. Anyone know if you can buy 3 cent stamps or do I have to suffer through all the 1 cent ones whenever I want to mail anything. Which, btw, I do like 3 times a year so I figure these stamps will last me another 10 years. By that time I'll just be able to double the 39 cent stamps on one envelope.

It's 2 days till due date and still no baby...
These two are from right before Christmas.

This one is from last weekend, after New Years. We haven't done any formal pictures so this is as good as it gets

I haven't posted a lot of pictures lately so I thought I would throw a bunch on here.
This was our mantle

These are the tenants' Christmas Stockings

Fuzzy Christmas Tree!

Ricky's first Crane...I grew up making these so we had a little lesson. As you can see, we were very excited until we realized that while we were making the crane, the last light show display on the house down the street was going on and we missed it. Then we were just a little bitter.

Mike is back in town from Australia. yay!

I made lots of Cranes!! This was Erin's first as well.

The fam looking at lights

Roller Derby Rocks!

I almost finished Cody's stocking. He ended up with an amputated foot but it was ok because the stocking is so huge it still held all his stuff.

Rob got a new bike and he loves it. Ricky, Cody and Rob went for a ride after we opened gifts on Christmas day. New helmets all around!!

Ricky relaxing after the ride.

Our house.
I will post more pictures of Ricky's bday and new years later on.
On new news with us, I had a doctors appt on Thursday and found out that I'm 1-2 inches dialated and 75% effaced so the baby's coming. No saying it will come before the due date on the 9th but Dr. Laird said I would be inducible after that point. So, here's to actually having a baby sometime soon! Oh, and we're finally fencing our back yard. I will have to put up pictures. The fence is way ghetto but the gates are turning out to be pretty cool looking. At some point maybe we'll have grass...woohoo.
