This is what I see almost every morning before I go to work. Love it. Lovely family.

Visits and new friends

Our good friends Tre and Angela came to stay with us this past couple days all the way from Tennessee. We had so much fun hanging out and playing games. We played a very interesting round of Settlers of Catan an then last night had another very interesting dinner at the Racquet Club. There were little kids everywhere and lots of "hi's" and "cool's" and time outs. Not to mention the laughing and drinking coffee just too stay up way too late and, consequently be very tired the next day. Good friends...good times. And, a wonderful addition to the fun was a good friend couple of Tre and Angela's, Fred and Cara. Yep, that's right. There is another Cara is the world and we hung out together which meant I kept turning around all night thinking I was being talked to when I wasn't. She was much better at picking the right times to look.

Too much coffee--really long game

This looks a lot more intense than it actually was.

Miss Cara J. Had squirt guns in her car.

Troy liked the kids pool even though he insisted he could swim in the big pool if he wanted before we got there.

The squirt gun wars were great.

Little Cadence. I seriously loved having all the kids around all the time. I think we'll have to have some more.

This is the guys idea of a good time. We ended up segregating like a junior high dance.

Filling up the guns.

My baby--decided that throwing her toy off the bobble seat over and over onto the concrete was fun. I finally got smart and put her on a towel so she started throwing her toy past the towel onto the concrete again. Shot-putter in the making...well, maybe not.

What a wonderful world

I was just sitting here at the coffee shop realizing how wonderful it is to see old worlds and new worlds come together. I have been so enjoying being a mom and sharing my life experiences with my little daughter. Some day we will share this table and read together over coffee, hopefully we will talk and grow together. For now though, her bottle shares space with my coffee cup and I read while she tries to flip backwards out of the stroller. She really has no idea that she could fall out and kill herself. I actually had to strap her back in out of fear for her safety...and she's only 5 months old!

Welcome to LA

And we're off

So, we are finally settled in on the plane to LA. You'd think after all the flying that we've done we wouldn't forget things like, oh, the baby's birth certificate. The SW ticket agent gave me such a hard time. I thought for a minute she wasn't going to let me on the plane. FYI to flying with lap babies...you must have shot records or birth certificate if you fly southwest!

She as nice enough to finally let me on though which I really appreciated since it means no lay-over. Woo-hoo! Mickey, here we come!

All buckled up
