This evening our small group worked with an organization called Emerge to sort and organize gifts. The gifts are laid out like in a shop and moms and kids come in and pick out something special for one another. Then, they wrap the gifts and take them home. It's really very cool. If you're looking for a place to donate wrapping paper or a new toy/clothes, let me know!

Stockings
I've almost finished the first Christmas stocking for this year! Clair and I hung out today and in between chasing her up the stairs every five minutes-she's really getting very adept at climbing- I got almost the whole stocking finished. Should be done before I giro bed tonight. Woohoo!!

Bye-bye
Hamilton and Victoria had mini Christmas here tonight and then left for home back in LA

-

And Clair had her first peanut butter and jelly sandwich...part of it is still stuck to her head. Yes, I put her to bed like that. We will worry about showers tomorrow!

Bye-bye family. We had such a great time this week!
Hello weekend of knitting.

Finally home
Today was my quarterly stewardship at work, a day that is always fun but long and takes a lot out of my introverted self. Ricky's back at work and my parents and Hamilton and Victoria went to the desert museum to hang out. I'm tired so went upstairs and hung with Clair for like a half hour just watching her play in the room while I talked to Ricky on the phone. Wouldn't you know that she stood up by herself without holding on to anything while I was up there too.

Victoria took me out for pedicures yesterday and today I have enjoyed the thought of having pretty toes. It doesn't happen very often.

Yes, we are watching sleepless in Seattle. I'm sure they will love me for posting this shot!

Christmastime 2
We started to decorate the house yesterday.

Clair helped!

And the first day of Jesse Tree...whoops, it was supposed to be november 30th. Oh well. I have to admit I was disappointed. I hadn't read through the devotionals prior to printing them out yesterday and I was surprised that they were created using the King James version of the Bible and that they were written using very complicated sentences and words. Also, they are written to God like a personal a journal rather than a teaching tool that simply explains how the story points to the coming of Christ...I was surprised. However, I still love the idea and will continue to search for a version that I feel is more applicable to how I want to raise my kids. For this season, we will bust out the personal Bibles and carry on!

Let the season begin!
